3+1 at Guggleton

FOUR GOOD FRIENDS FROM SOMERSET.
From Saturday 23rd to Sunday 31st of July, each day from 11am to 5pm.

Three painters and a sculptor whose very different styles complement eachother. They like colour, shape and texture and the influence of their beautiful surroundings shows in their work.

Judy Hall
A mature student of graphics at Bournemouth, then, with young children, she worked as a graphic designer. Later, Judy took up painting, doing workshops in Bruton and Ilminster.

Swan Lennard Payne
With three small daughters, she learnt to paint under Reg Gammon who lived in her village. She also took life drawing courses with Henry Haig and Robert Sawyers.

Rhoda Painter
Daughter of an artist, as a mother of four sons, she started painting seriously in 1976 and was taught by Rene Hannah whose work was a great inspiration.

Sue Williams
Sue started sculptured ceramics in London, then developed using concrete at the Open College of Art course run by sculptor Carole Vincent in Boscastle, Cornwall. Sue now works in various materials in her Somerset studio.
