Myrtle Pizzey is a well known Somerset printmaker. She draws from observation on site, using pencil, charcoal and pastel. Trained as a painter, she has a fascination with colour, but is equally drawn to the stark black and white images of the Somerset landscape in winter. Having taught for many years in a sixth form college, she now spends her time recording her natural surroundings on the edge of the Somerset levels.
